metal/hardcore outfit ‘Rise of Caligula’ has
officially joined 187 Records. Originally formed
in 2005 as a 4 piece, they have self produced a
3 song demo, and have been on numerous tours
along side bands such as Molotov Solution
(Twelve Gauge), Fate (Metal Blade), and
Katsumoto (Uprising). Rise of Caligula has
recently recorded material for their upcoming
debut release on 187 Records entitled ‘Libretto’
at Metal Works Studio. They will be focusing the
majority of their energy on playing shows to
support the release and have a couple tours
already in the works. One is a West Coast
Mini-Tour with She Is A Liar (Hunt Records) June
2 – June 9, followed by a full US tour with NAME
from June 27 – August 16. Be sure to go to a

1. PALLIDA MORS is currently working on new
material for their next album, which they expect
to release sometime this fall via 187 Records.
The group will enter the studio within the next
couple of months to record pre-production tracks
in order to further solidify and tighten them up
before scheduling studio time to record the
upcoming album. Once the new album is recorded,
Pallida Mors plans on touring and playing shows
to support the release. They are currently
searching for a van. If you live around California
and have any information about a used van for
sale, please get in contact with 187 Records or
Pallida Mors.

2. Since playing many shows in support of their

Uprising signs DR. ACULA!
Hailing from Long Island, New York, Dr. Acula
have created an enormous buzz in the hardcore
scene with their unique brand of Grindcore. With
over 3 million plays on Myspace, and an almost
cultish live following, the band has built a
huge national fan base entirely upon DIY touring
and a self produced, basement recorded album "S.L.O.B"
(silver lipped operator of bullshit). Recently
re-pressed by 187 Records, the band sold over
1000 mail order copies alone within hours.
Merging classic Grindcore with gut wrenching
breakdowns, synth parts and dance beats - Dr.
Acula have created a unique sound, and visual
presentation that appeals to fans far beyond the
limits of any genre classification. Looking to
best capture the phenomenon that is Dr. Acula,
Uprising is immediatly sending the band to
record with Jamie King (Through The Eyes Of The
Dead and Between the Buried and Me) followed by
a National Tour with Liferuiner in May. Look for
their Album "Below Me!" out this summer, and be
sure to check out the Dr. Acula experience at a
venue near you on the upcoming national tour.
